2025 January Release

2025 JANUARY RELEASE

2024 Wrap-up & 2025 What's Coming.

Welcome to 2025 - this is our once in a year update to let you know what's happening at Clinicea.

First of all, thank you for being part of the Clinicea Family. **We are clear on that fact that we exist because of you, and our internal policies ensure that we shall not let ANYONE in the team forget this. **

It's been over a decade since we started Clinicea, and actually 24 years since we started the business of developing clinic focused, EMR platforms - yes, this this our 3rd venture in the same space. So, as you can figure out, we are not much good at anything else, other than clinic management software, as that's what we and our entire team have done throughout our lives, and we love it. This has helped us grow to all parts of the world, except Antarctica - but as Sam the eternal optimist in the team believes, never say never!. We have always prioritized you, over everything else. It is a narrow focus on the word "you", but it has shaped everything around us in Clinicea professionally and personally.

The Clinicea platform like any other SaaS platform is made up of 3 things

  1. Code.
  2. Infrastructure on which the Code runs.
  3. Service that is provided to run that code.

Unfortunately, metrics to measure, the code and infrastructure is not easily possible. Compliance to certifications is no measure of the truth, else government made platforms which tick all the audit boxes, would not universally be the most difficult ones in the business.

How do we better the quality of **code? ** By removing all short-term incentives to lose focus - no picking up paid projects, no diversification into related or unrelated fields, no onthe-side apps. Each developer will work on clinic management platform and clinic management platform and clinic management platform only. In the rare case that we need to assist a client in something ancillary, hire a paid 3rd-party consultant to come in, execute the work and leave. So yes, we put all the eggs in 1 basket, and have willingly done so all our 24 years of professional existence - as I said we love this innocuous niche space of clinic management.

And what about infrastructure on which the code runs? On day 1, before we had a single client, we went ahead and signed a BAA agreement with Azure, committing to spending $$$ annually. This was the time when clinics would baulk at the idea of putting data online and desktop software on CD was still around. Online space had a plethora of cheaper players, and Microsoft Azure was in its infancy, but still costed an arm and a leg. **Even back then, we searched for, and selected the best money could buy. **Of course, today, we have left no stone unturned. Today the market has spoken with the Big 3 ruling the roost, AWS, Google, Microsoft Azure, launching premium cloud services at par with each other. We at Clinicea have been adopting them at an equally frenetic pace. Launched just last month a BI, Data Ingestion, dedicated DB tool with 100% real time integration to Microsoft Fabric - so those clinics who can rent a Fabric server can stream their data live, off Clinicea, straight into BI tools of their choice, in real-time. This is an option which even the billion $ listed clinic management competitors cannot currently offer. The quest to offer you the best of what is out there comes from within. We are aggressive and will always aim for the moon when it comes to offering you the best. Not all such initiatives will pay off, but even if 1/10 does, it feels worth it to us, that in 9/10 cases we did not lose out for lack of trying.

**Service, ** we need to keep at it, and there is always room for improvement. It is not a 1-off., but a culture which we have tried to cultivate More should be done and will be done. However I just want to point out to the google reviews on Clinicea for 2024 - not a single one is paid for or edited in any way. It is for the world to see, and that's our biggest reward for 2024. 99% of you gave us 5 stars in 2024, and for the 1% who did not, we have reached out to identify our shortcomings and in 2025, will overcome them to your satisfaction.

2025 - this is going to be the biggest year yet for Clinicea. We are hard at work and will be launching features to specifically increase footfall and revenue at the Clinic.

I want to reassure you, that we have always targeted responsible growth. To further sales, or to achieve any lofty ambitious target, we will not conclude cash-flow negative deals nor will we take a hit to acquire a new client. We owe it to all our existing clients, to remain profitable so we can sustain what we have and grow it. Financial health is the biggest contributor to keeping internal focus, or to losing it. I want to confirm to you, that we have 0 debt at Clinicea and no pressure of any external party investors (we received 30+ Investor queries from VC, HNI's, Family Offices, and the odd PE - we declined every offer at its infancy). We are net profitable based solely on our subscription revenue, and we do not pursue any other forms of revenue. Your trust in us is enough for us and we are more than content with what we have.

FEATURES RELEASED

Membership

Levels and Amount

We have released a new way to compute membership upgrades and downgrades. There is now an option to create exclusive "By Invitation memberships". ** Additionally, you can now configure membership upgrades and downgrades based on actually money spent in the clinic, as opposed to computing it based on **points earned.

**To summarize, you can run a membership program based on points OR, based on money spent. You can configure this under Tools | Organisation | Financial Preferences. ** You also control if the computation of total points/amount is based on a set period of 1 year, or it is cumulative, irrespective of the time period.

Packages

Package Auto-Expiry

You can now configure sold packages to auto expire. It ensures your books are clean of unused old packages. Once a package expires, your front desk can longer book appointments against services in that package.

You can allow an exception to the rule by giving a designated clinic staff the option to override the system and book appointments even against expired packages. This can be done via **Tools | Roles | Permission. **

You can configure notifications to get package expiry alerts.

Administration

Clinic Switch is here for Multi-Locations

If you work in an organizational setup which has multiple locations, and you have the permission to work across more than one such location, we have a new feature for you. You can now switch between clinic locations from within Clinicea. This is useful if you have a physically go down to a specific location and plan to work there for the day/week or longer.

Once you click on the icon, you get the option to switch the clinic.

Note: You could already switch locations on a specific screen, but that was temporary as you would get restored to your home location (as mentioned in the S **taff profile | ** **Belongs to **organization field), upon re-login. But with this feature, when you switch locations, it sticks. So all the screens in Clinicea e.g. billing, EMR, reporting etc., will now point to this new location you have selected. This switch over also sticks if you logout and log back in.

When you log in next, you can see the clinic you are being logged into.
