Why do all Rx names appear in capital for Indian Clinics

Rx Names appear in capital in India, based on the guidelines of NMC (National Medical Commission) recommends that Rx names in India should ideally appear in capital letters. Here is an excerpt from the guidelines. *

• Additionally, generics should be prescribed instead of brands.
• In case of a brand being prescribed, the generic should still be visible.
