How to view Growth Charts

As a pediatrician, monitoring a child’s growth is a vital part of your practice. Let us have a look at how you can view Growth Charts on Clinicea.

PRE-REQUISITES: THESE STEPS NEED TO BE DONE ONLY ONCE:
Go to Tools | Organisation | Preferences | Clinical.

A Clinical Preferences window will open, check on Show Growth Chart | Save.

Now let us have a look at how to view a Patient’s Growth Chart from the Patient Chart:

Select a Patient and open the Patient Chart | Medical Summary | Growth Chart.

A Growth Chart window will open | click on the growth parameter you want to view. Example: Height.

The vertical line on the right-hand side shows the child’s head circumference in your preferred unit of measurement (i.e. cm or inches as setup in Tools | Clinical Items), and the horizontal line at the bottom shows the child’s age in months. You can see the percentile growth charts as mandated by WHO.

Overlayed on top of the percentile chart in green are the actual values as recorded for this Patient over the months and years. It helps you see exactly how is the patient progressing when compared to the percentile charts.

Now click on the ←button to return to Patient Medical Summary.

Note: Height, Weight, and BMI can see seen for any patient up to 20 years of age. Head Circumference can be seen for any patient up to 3 years of age.
