How to Manage Family

Clinicea gives you the option to link multiple Patients as a family. You can also assign a family head. This feature can be useful for family clinics, where children can be linked to their Parents for purposes such as Consents, Vaccinations, and Billing.

1. Select a Patient and open up the Patient Details | go to Family, you will see that the Patient name appears under family by default, Example: Arthur Weasley. This is because Arthur Weasley is set as the family head and his family has other members like George Weasley, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Jean Granger.

If you want to have a look at Arthur_s’_ family members, click on the Patient Name_._ A Search Family flyout will open up | My Family_, Arthur_ is the family head.

2. Let us assume you want to add another Patient, Molly Weasley, to Arthur‘_s_ family.

Open up the Patient Details for Molly Weasley | click on Family | A Search Family fly out will open up | click on Change Family, you will get the entire Patient list to select from | Search for Arthur Weasley and click on the +button beside Arthur Weasley.

Done! Molly Weasley has been added as a member of Arthur Weasley’s family. To view this, open the Patient Details for Arthur Weasley and click on Family | My Family (refer image in point 3). You can add as many Patients you like to one family using the same approach.

3. Arthur is the family head, since you have linked Molly to Arthur (and not the other way round). Not only is the family head highlighted in the text but there is also, an icon beside the Patient Name that appears in light green.

You can, however, change the family head if you need be. In order to do so:

Go to My Family under Search Family | now select the Patient you want to make the family head and simply click on the same icon beside the Patient name, the icon will change to light green indicating the new family head. Done!

4. If you want to remove a Patient from the family, click on the three vertical dots icon beside the Patient Name and remove from family.
