# Why does Clinicea signout automatically

Clinicea is designed to give you the best and the most efficient EMR solution. Alongside this, we also aim at providing you the maximum security while using the software.

A step towards this is the **Auto Logout Feature**, which is designed to log you off in case the application is not in use or is in Idle state for a long time. This would stop any unauthorized access to the application in your absence.

Currently, the Auto Logout time is set at **4** hours.
