# Why do all Rx names appear in capital for Indian Clinics

Rx Names appear in capital in India, based on the guidelines of **NMC** (National Medical Commission) recommends that Rx names in India should ideally appear in capital letters. * Additionally, generics should be prescribed instead of brands. 
* In case of a brand being prescribed, the generic should still be visible.
