# How to transfer a Patient from one Clinic to another

Clinic chains that have clinics in various cities, may often require the function to transfer a Patient from one clinic to another.

For example, A patient regularly uses the services of a popular Clinic chain in India. She was registered at _The Acupuncture Clinic_ and has used many of the services provided by the Clinic. However, the Patient moves to a different city and wants to continue using the services provided by the same Clinic chain. Being a regular customer, all treatments, allergies and medical data of the Patient is stored at her current clinic. To find a new clinic means the Patient will have to register all over again and provide all past medical data. In some cases, the Patient may be undergoing a particular treatment, such as Tricho Scalp Treatment and is halfway through. Moving to a new Clinic chain means restarting the entire treatment. This not only seems tedious but also demotivating.

For such cases, Clinicea provides you with the function to transfer a Patient from one Clinic branch to another effortlessly.

Let us have a look at how to transfer the Patient from the clinic to another.

**1**. Open up the **Patient Details** of the Patient you want to transfer. Now scroll down the page to **Belongs to Organisation**. You will be able to see the clinic the Patient is currently assigned to. In this case, it is The Acupuncture Clinic.

**2**. Click on the **drop-down menu** under **Belongs to Organisation** and select _Mumbai Clinic_ and then click **Save**. This is now complete. You can reopen Patient Details to view the change.
