# 📺 How to Search for an Appointment in Calendar

To Search for an Appointment in Calendar simply:

1. Go to **Calendar** and click on the **Search** button on the top right corner of the calendar.

**2.** A new **Search** **Appointment** option will open | type in Patient **Name/ File No** and click on **Search.** You can also search by the comments that you may have used in any appointment. 

**3.** Once the **Search** is complete, the list of Patients will appear on the left side of the page. You can filter the search to Today, Past or Future. Also, you have additional filters to narrow down your search. These filters are **Appointment Status** and **Appointment Source**.  
Note: _By Appointment Source what we mean is from where this appointment was made._

The Past and Future Appointments search can be further filtered to 3 Months, 6 Months, 1 Year or a Custom date range(the date range here is restricted to 1 year). This helps in optimizing the search and search results are returned faster.
