# How to re-prescribe Rx

You may need to re-prescribe Rx for a Patient.

Let us have a look at how to re-prescribe Rx:

**1**. Open up a **Patient Chart** and navigate to the auto-compiled **Medical Summary** (_for more info click on [How to read a Patient’s Medical Summary](https://help.clinicea.com/en/article/how-to-read-a-patients-medical-summary-e9ndbb/)_) on the right-hand side of the page. Under **Rx**, you will see **Past Rx**. Click on the down arrow to expand the section to view all past medication prescribed.

**2**. When the Patient returns after a month with the same illness and you want to re-prescribe aspirin, then simply click on the pencil icon.

**3.** The Rx gets automatically added to the prescribed medicines list with the same protocols as before.
