# How to Edit notes from an earlier Patient Visit

Often when recording a visit, post saving the visit if the practitioner wants to edit and make some changes in the visit recorded then Simply click on Edit Existing, make the changes and click save to complete. Let us have a look at how  
  
**1.** Select a Patient and open up the Patient Chart.  
  
**2.** Go to **Notes** Section under **Medical Summary |** find the visit you want to edit and click on **Edit Existing**

**3.** It will load the encounter in edit mode on the left hand side **|** make the changes in the visit **|** click on **Save**.

Once the Edit visit is saved, the Notes under the Medical Summary will be auto-updated.
